The heavier the item, the more points you get (you’ll meet the standard faster). Productivity decreases when mistakes are made. Most mistakes happen due to inattention. Each mistake deducts 50 points. Causes of mistakes:

Job description:

The job involves order picking at a large logistics warehouse for car parts (European Center for Logistics and Development). The order picking process is carried out using a scanner for various orders (batteries, exhaust pipes, spark plugs, filters, and small fastening parts or screws, etc.). The weight for women ranges from a few grams to 12 kg, for men up to 25 kg. Employees do not carry boxes with orders; there are automatic conveyors that deliver loaded boxes to the appropriate department and shelf.

The employee only walks in one department. They are trained there until they become independent. A trainer shows the process of placing or picking goods one-on-one individually. Training lasts 3-4 days face-to-face. Once a month, the worker must report to the supervisor, and the trainer oversees their work. On each floor, the supervisor has the same place. Charts and sectors are hung showing where the worker should go.

Responsibilities:

  • Sorting goods (the scanner shows which shelf we are approaching and where the container is, the quantity and name of the product)
  • Order picking consists of scanning the barcodes of individual items (in case of bulk orders). When there is nothing to pick, we switch the scanner to sorting mode
  • Compare the indexes on the packaging (for 2 or more batches). The scanner then shows the items one by one. If you cannot find the item, call the supervisor
  • Place very small items in cardboard boxes. The scanner shows which container we should take. We place the entire box in the container for sorting
  • Labeling and packing tires, placing them on 3-tiered shelves (average weight 5-15 kg)
  • Loading/unloading trucks (using machines similar to those at airports for luggage, the tires are unloaded and then placed on shelves). Sometimes several people work on the process: they take the tires and pass them to another employee who places them on the shelf.

Document requirements:

Employment with a visa/special status for a minimum of 4 months or biometric passport for 90 days.

Job requirements:

  • Willingness to work and diligence
  • Manual skills
  • Good eyesight
  • Good physical condition
